Sunday school classes will resume Sunday September14! Classes are provided for children in preschool through high school. Classes begin at 9:45 a.m., allowing parents time to bring their children before attending the 10 a.m. worship service. Classes usually last about one hour, and then children and teachers join the entire congregation for Holy Communion.

On Sunday, September 14, St. Paul’s will kick off its 2008-09 program year. At the 10 a.m. Eucharist, Fr. Gordon will recognize and commission various groups that participate in our Sunday morning worship services and ministry programs..

This year Sampler Sunday, September 21, will be a one-day event and has been scheduled two weeks later than its usual time to provide each organization at St. Paul’s an opportunity to participate in a “Sampler Sunday Show-Jesus Contest.” Each group, guild or committee is being asked to coordinate a display which best explains its ministry.

St. Paul's Episcopal Church has long occupied a unique position in the Lansing area where, for 150 years it has ministered to the life and people of Michigan's capital city. St. Paul's has a very rich and profound history and it's roots date back to the very dawn of the Lansing community.

St. Paul's is first, the house of God, the father, and Jesus Christ, the Son. "To the glory of God" is the phrase most frequently employed. In St. Paul's there is an intangible awareness of the ever present Creator and Savior. It embodies the strength experienced by many devout believers, past and present, joined in a united worship and drawing spiritual inspiration from this union. St. Paul's is a source of strength and hope, in God, for all who come within its influence.

St. Paul's is also a group of friendly, warm and caring Christians who share a common spiritual fellowship and a interest in worship to the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Speaking for the entire St. Paul's congregation, we invite you to attend one of our services, and will welcome you with open arms!
