| The music program is a central part of
the worship and parish activities at St. Pauls. The
goal of the program, which has been under the direction
of minister of music Dr. Stephen Lange for over thirty
years, is to help worshipers "to sing with the
spirit and to sing with the understanding also." The
bulletin each Sunday contains a page written by Dr. Lange
describing the music that will be sung and played and its
role in the liturgy of the day. All members of the parish
are encouraged to raise their voices in praise of the
Lord. The music program features
five singing choirs and three handbell choirs which
involve parish members of all ages. The choirs sing at
the Sunday 10:00 am service and on special occasions. Dr.
Lange is assisted in the music program by Mary Rodeck,
associate minister of music, and Maureen Nauss, who
directs the Cherub Choir.

| Cherub
Choir Go Back
Parish children in
Kindergarten through 2nd grade are introduced
to choir participation through the Cherub Choir. This
choir sings five to six times during the year and focuses
on developing singing, rhythmic, and music-reading skills
appropriate to very young choristers.
|
| Boys
and Grace Choirs Go Back
Children
progress from the Cherub Choir to the Boys and
Grace Choirs, which are for 3rd through 6th
grade students. The Boys and Grace Choirs generally
sing an anthem each month as a part of the worship
service and are featured on special occasions. In
rehearsal, the choir members develop their musical
abilities while learning about music as a part of worship
and liturgy.

| High
School Choir Go Back
The High
School Choir consists of students in 7th
through 12th grade. The High School Choir
sings at most Sunday services and joins with the Chancel
Choir on special occasions. Cantors for the Psalms at
Sunday worship are all members of the High School Choir.
These students have the opportunity every four years to
take a study-travel tour of Great Britain. This activity
is supported in part by the parish members through
on-going fund raising efforts.
|
| Chancel
Choir Go Back
The Chancel Choir
sings at most 10:00 am Sunday services. It is composed of
adults from the parish who enjoy the fellowship of
joining with each other in praising God through singing.
|
| Handbell
Choirs Go Back
Members of the
various choirs participate in the senior, junior and 5th
6th grade Handbell Choirs. One or more
of the Handbell Choirs ring at festival services,
including Easter, Lessons and Carols, and Christmas Eve.
